NeurIPS 2019 was held in Vancouver from December 8th to December 14th. This year, Sony was a Diamond Partner of the famous conference.

The Music Team was there! On Sunday, during the Expo Day, they demonstrated a selection of Sony CSL tools that allow music creators to compose songs using a suite of interactive generative models for music.

The demo showed the following plugins and discussed their interconnection:

• NONOTO – a model-agnostic web interface for interactive music composition by inpainting
• DrumNet – a conditional drum pattern generator
• PlanetDrums – a kick drum sound generation tool
• DeepBach – a model able to learn and generate music in the style of J.S. Bach.
