We are happy to be among the exhibitors of the exposition VISIBLE SENSIBLE with our installation Kreyon City. The exhibition that will take place at the Fiminco Foundation – Romainville (Grand Paris), from the 18th of September to the 4th of October, co-organised by the Fiminco Foundation and the French Tech Grande Provence within the S+T+ARTS Programme of the European Commission.
Today, 55% of the world’s population lives in urban areas, a proportion that is expected to reach 70% by 2050. Over the last century, our cities have been built using an approach based on efficiency and productivity. However, societies’ technical progress implies some limits, such as the depletion of natural resources and the destruction of ecosystems.
Being aware of this, the concept of the ultra-technological and connected “smart city” has been gradually replaced with resilient and sustainable city, also in the light of climate change and ecological urgency.
Resilient and sustainable cities imply changing the rules of the game, reinventing private and public spaces, and questioning the way they are built and experienced. What is the role of technology in this transition process? How can innovation be used to create new imaginations, collective systems, and spaces for reflection and criticism?
The exhibition VISIBLE SENSIBLE invites visitors to observe, question, imagine, and build these future living spaces through participatory artistic experiences.
